10 things for Disney to pack and ACTUALLY use
I spent days on pinterest reading packing lists. And think I did a fairly good job. There is so much logistics to Disney and what to pack becomes a daunting task. For a humorous take on packing lists check out my post 23 Things I’m Packing for Walt Disney World.
On one hand you could pack everything and the kitchen sink. On the other hand Amazon and Whole Foods could deliver pretty much anything we wanted. We even had liquor delivered to the room.
So, here’s my list of things we actually used.
One – Barf Bags
We have one gaggy twin. In the best situations he is likely to vomit. Faced with enormous amounts of food, excitement, and grandparent’s indulgence combined to mean we always had at least four or five on us.
We started using hospital grade emesis bags years ago. After trying a few types we like the YGDZ ones the best. They are discrete, and self contained. When vomiting is finished you can knot them off and dispose of them safely.
Also, in a pinch, they made a handy urinal for a potty training little guy vs. a long line for the bathroom.
Two: Bumkins Junior Bibs / Toddler smock
I’m a huge fan of these washable bibs and they issue Disney prints on the reg so you can coordinate to your heart’s conent. We took two for each guy so we could alternate them depending on crusty they got.
These cover more real estate and pack down smaller than any other bib that I’ve seen. I love them.
Three (ok, technically I forgot to pack this, but I meant to): Munchkin Grip Potty Seat
Ok, Ok. I didn’t actually remember to pack this, but as soon as we hit the hotel we realized our oversight and had Amazon Now bring one. We only used this in the hotel, but it made keeping up with our potty training way easier.
This way we could pop one of the twins on the potty and get the other one in the bath solo. My guys are still too small to sit on an adult potty without support.
Four: GoGo Babyz Mini Travelmate car seat trailer
Because we rented a car we needed to travel with our car seats. The honest and scary truth is that the only safe way to ‘check’ a car seat is to pack it in it’s original packaging. So we bought the GoGo Mini to tow the seats.
Bonus points for being able to strap our three year olds into their seats and then tow sleeping toddlers around the airport at 11pm after a long day of flying.
but the GoGo Travelmate mini made it way easier.
Five: eBags Weekender Motherlode
Can you be in love with a piece of luggage? As it turns out, yes you can. I packed every single bit of clothes etc, for twins, for 8 days in one bag. I packed all my clothes, shoes, and toiletries for 8 days in one. For real, these are worth every penny and go on sale pretty frequently so they are worth watching.
I used one as a carry on for all the crucial medicines, carryon items, and the convertible backpack straps were comfortable and easy to use.
Six: Bumpkins Wet Bags
Again, cute Disney prints to trick out our experience. I always had two of these with us in our stroller. One packed with bibs, vomit supplies, and changes of clothes so we could grab and go into restaurants with everything we needed. One empty for packing up soiled items.
Seven: Autograph Book from Disney
Getting autographs was a great task to give some structure to the character meeting experience. We packed our own sharpies (have the caps off and be ready to hand them to the character with the point away from their hands – and watch for lefties – A Lefty Donald Duck caught me by surprise.)

Eight: Hand full of Ribbons on a keychain
I took the boy’s pegasus wings – which are actually just a bunch of ribbons 2-4 feet long on a carabiner. And then hooked them on our stroller. In a sea of identical rented strollers, they made it easy to find ours.
We were gifted a few balloons later in our stay and they served the same purpose. The high quality balloons lasted many days and made spotting people across a crowded street easy as pie.
Nine: Ems for kids Earmuffs
During fireworks these were life savers – one night we didn’t have them. My twins tried to climb under my husband’s skin.. while still buckled in their stroller.. These took fireworks from a horrifying trauma to an experience they could enjoy and control.
Also, they proved so useful are various other times in the park. Some rides (It’s a Small World) and shows are very loud (For Finding Nemo both my guys wanted theirs).
While we were traveling from Epcot back to our hotel my guys were MAXED out. We gave them their hearing protection, pulled the sunshades on the stroller ALL the way down, and then covered it with a blanket. They were over stimulated, plain and simple. Being able to check out completely helped them (and me) calm down.
Ten: My Disney App and Magic Bands
Magic Bands are ALL the things. One of my twins wore his every single second. The other, not even once. Better minds have detailed the greatness that is the Magic Band. I really liked not carrying any money or KEYS around.
One day, in a rush out of the room I forgot a few key items including my Magic Band. My husband already left on the elevator with the twins.
I opened the app on my phone AND UNLOCKED MY ROOM WITH MY PHONE!!!! It’s hard to explain what a relief that was, the thought of taking the elevator downstairs and then back upstairs was too much too bear.
Between the Magic Bands and the App we managed pretty much every aspect of our time in the park.
